CCL to hold Sharon K. Bird Memorial Walk/Run

Mark your calendar so you can be part of CCL's first mile walk/5K run at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, May 4, in Winfield's scenic Island Park (north end of Main Street). Registration will begin at 6:30. Registration and Release/Waiver Forms are available for download (http://www.creativecommunityliving.org/walkrun/). They are also available at CCL's offices at 1500 E. Eighth in Winfield or by message to jsandbulte@cclccl.org.

The entry fee is $15.00. If your money, registration form and waiver are mailed and received by CCL by April 15, you will be guaranteed a T-shirt. You can still register to participate after that, but you may not get a T-shirt or one in the correct size since we won't know how many to order.

Medals will be awarded to the top runners in the 5K event. Water stations will be provided along the route.

Baby strollers are welcome during the walk, but pets are not encouraged. Young children do not have to pay the entry fee, but they won't receive a T-shirt, and a parent or legal guardian must sign a waiver for them. The event will be held rain or shine.

If you are interested in being a sponsor or making a donation, let us know. All those who donate $100 or more in cash by April 1 will be listed on the back of the T-shirts as a sponsor. Sponsors' names will vary in size according to the amount given. Money will be welcomed after April 1, but those sponsors won't be listed on the T-shirts.

You are invited to join us as we recognize Sharon Bird, our founder and longtime board president, with this fun, outdoor event to benefit the men and women supported by CCL. Even if you didn't know Sharon, come anyway for a spring Saturday morning in the park.
